The Piedmont Authority for Regional Transportation (PART) has been serving Surry County with Route 6 Express Bus service for over 11 years and Stokes County for over nine years. PART is excited to announce a less expensive fare for Surry and Stokes County residents that started in July.
Surry and Stokes County riders have multiple options when commuting on PART into Winston-Salem and can ride for as little as $80 per month. Fares were reduced on the route serving the County to $2.50 one-way. Students, seniors, disabled, veterans, and Medicaid cardholders ride for half price with ID.
Route 6 Surry County Express connects Mount Airy, Pilot Mountain, King and Winston-Salem. Stops include Mount Airy Park & Ride, Pilot Mountain Park & Ride, King Park & Ride, Downtown Winston-Salem, Baptist Medical Center, Forsyth Medical Center, and Truliant Federal Credit Union.
This route connects with Winston-Salem Transit Authority and other urban PART Routes in downtown Winston-Salem at the Transportation Center.
