VFW Auxiliary holding membership drive

The VFW Auxiliary Post 9436 of Pilot Mountain will be having a membership drive from 8 a.m. through 1 p.m. this Saturday in front of Cousin Gary’s Restaurant, located at 626 Key Street in Pilot Mountain.

According to VFW Auxiliary President Margie Nichols, any potential member should be a wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, granddaughter, grandson, grandfather, son, brother, father or husband of a VFW-eligible veteran. Members of stepfamilies and blended families including adoption are also eligible to join the VFW Auxiliary under their VFW-eligible veteran.

VFW Auxiliary members, Nichols noted, will be on hand throughout the morning and early afternoon to gladly to sign up anyone who is eligible. Information on Auxiliary meetings and projects designed to meet veterans’ needs will also be available.

The VFW Auxiliary will also be selling flavoring and knives to provide funding for some of the programs to help veterans.
