Fromer professional football player Tyson Clabo visited Shoals Elementary recently to give a motivational speech to the students and staff there.

Clabo, a retired NFL offensive linemen, spent 12 years in the league with eight of his years as the starting right tackle for the Atlanta Falcons. Clabo also played for the Denver Broncos, Miami Dolphins, and Houston Texans during his time in the NFL.

He is originally from Knoxville, Tennessee and earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Wake Forest University. He is married and has four children — two boys and 2 girls — and is now enjoying a career as a cattle farmer.​
