The Westfield Elementary PTO will sponsor its second annual Holiday Bazaar on Saturday from 9 a.m.–3 p.m. at the school gymnasium, located at 273 Jessup Grove Church Road.
“Last year was the first time we’d done this,” noted PTO President Kim Morris. “This year we’ve put up more signage and we’re hoping for a really good turn-out. Most of our vendors are local and it’s a time of year to get started on Christmas shopping. It’s a good way to support local business while you’re supporting our school.”
This year’s line-up will feature a significant increase in the number of vendors on hand with more than 25 lined up to take part. A wide variety of goods will include jewelry, clothing, crafts, handmade soaps, baked goods and an assortment of items from local vendors representing nationally known companies. Assorted Christmas-themed items will be scattered among the displays
Concessions will be available throughout the day, beginning with breakfast items before transitioning to pizza, popcorn and drinks later in the day. All proceeds from concessions as well as vendor table fees will benefit Westfield Elementary School.
“This is important for our school,” Morris explained. “What is raised will go toward technology purchases for our students. Last year we were able to purchase new Chromebooks for grades 3-5.”
For more information on the day, the school can be reached at 336-351-2745.
“We’re inviting everyone to join us for this community event. It’s a great way to support our school by doing some Christmas shopping in an enjoyable environment,” Morris said.
