Brother Ken Bowman is doing a three-night revival at Popular Springs Baptist Church this week.

Brother Mickey Brooks is interim pastor at the church for the present time.

Colton Moore was presented a Bible at the Baptist Church on Sunday morning, along with a Certificate of Baptism. He was baptized on Aug. 2.

Bonnie Poindexter is spending a few days in rehab near Forsyth Hospital. Please remember her.

Katherine Atkins is in the hospital and is a very sick lady. Please remember her.

Jake Whitaker is having a bit of “pain and misery” with that knee he injured. Still waiting for a doctor’s decision as to surgery.

Junior Miller is off to visit his doctor again this week. Maybe he will get a good report.

I am determined not to be a diabetic, but my doctor thinks otherwise. Well, the blood testing report came back recently with a good A1-C testing result. He probably had to change his mind.

Well, Papa Bob is in the “pea picking” business. The Crowder peas are working hard to do their best. Recently, I helped pick some and we shelled until my “nap” time. Well, he got smart and when my nap was over he had finished the peas. I liked that part. They will be good when the snow is on the ground.

I cooked some of those peas on Monday along with some other veggies and went down to have lunch with Roger and Peggy Whitaker. They are both having some health problems. Well, we enjoyed the meal and fellowship. I took some of my fruit filled muffins for dessert. Roger used to plant Crowder peas for the community.
