Hacker House opens Friday Sept. 30 and will run every Friday and Saturday evening until Halloween (Monday) including Sunday, Oct. 30.

Homecoming at Brown Mountain Baptist Church is Sunday, Oct. 16.

The Francisco School reunion is Saturday, Oct. 1, fearing a covered dish lunch 12:30 p.m. Anyone who ever attended Francisco School is encouraged to be there.

Brims Grove Baptist Church Homecoming is Oct. 9. The speaker will be Wayne Moore. A meal will follow the service.

The Francisco Farmfest is coming Saturday, Oct. 1. The festival will celebrate the people, the arts and traditions, and the agricultural heritage of the area.

Rock House Ruritan Club would like to thank everyone for coming to the yard sale on Sept. 16 and 17. They appreciate your support.

Fall revival services are scheduled for later this fall at Westfield Baptist Church. Join them beginning Sunday morning, Oct. 2. Services continue through Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 7 p.m each evening. The speaker is Dr. Chuck Register, executive leader of the Baptist State Convention’s Church Planting and Missions Partnerships Team.

The Brown Mountain Baptist Church Jr. Youth Group needs your help. They want to share the warmth with others this year. On Nov. 5 from 10 a.m. to noon the youth group is having a coat giveaway. This will be for children up to age 18 in the community that needs a coat. Coat donations would be appreciated. The coat needs to be clean and all the buttons and zippers working. Some gloves, a hat, a scarf and socks to go with the coat would help too. I’ll be glad to get the coats and accessories to the church if you will bring them by my house.

Westfield Friends Meeting will hold its annual bazaar on Oct. 15.

A revival is scheduled for Westfield Friends Meeting at 7 p.m each Thursday evening beginning Sept. 8. The speakers, by date, are: Sept. 8, Steve Wood, pastor of Forsyth Friends; Sept. 15, Posie Simmons; Sept. 22, Ricky Rogers; Sept. 29, Linda Anderson.

Happy Anniversary to Zack and Tonya Jessup, Donnie and Vickie Benge and Jimmy and Zelda George.

Sanders McHone turned 96 years old in September. He is the owner of Sanders McHone Farm Service located on Main Street in Pilot Mountain. Go by and take Sanders a birthday card. Happy Birthday, Sanders.
