Officer updates cancer-fighting progress

To the Editor,

I would like to let everyone know the progress I’ve been making since I was diagnosed with cancer back in December.

I’ve had four chemo treatments, and I have not been sick one time, praise the Lord. Also, the treatments seen to been working, I feel a lot better.

I want to thank God, first and foremost, for being with me and taking care of me. I would not be able to make it without him.

Then, I want to thank our families. Our church families, our law enforcement family, and to everyone else who have sent me their prayers, and have supported me all the way. I need your prayers more than anything.

I want to give a special thanks to Cheif Darryl Bottoms, and to all those who are helping him organize a fundraiser on my behalf. Darryl is not only my chief, he is a great friend.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the fundraiser, due to me having another chemo treatment that week.

Last, I want everyone who is in law enforcement, EMS, and fire and rescue to know I pray for you often. I know too well what a dangerous world we live in, I pray that each and everyone of you, when you go to work, will go home safely at the end of your shift.

God bless all of you.

Finally, I would like to ask you to keep praying for me and my family. It means more to me than anything.
