• First Monday of each month, 7 p.m., The Pilot Ruritans meet at Armfield Civic Center. The group would like to learn more about local nonprofit agencies and invite the public to contact members for dates and details. The meetings are open to the public. • Every Monday, 6 p.m., Charles Stone Memorial Library, Pilot Mountain Outreach and area churches sponsor a free community dinner. Everyone is welcome.

• Every Monday, 7 to 9 p.m., McDonald’s of Pilot Mountain presents Cranford Creek Bluegrass Band; door prizes; dancing. Free event. Food and drink available for purchase on site; no purchase necessary.

• Every Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., 10-minute Chair Massage by Debra Barton, LMBT 09784, at Blue Mountain Herbs, 106 W. Main St., Pilot Mountain. Donations appreciated.

• Every Tuesday, 7 p.m., First United Methodist Church in Pilot Mountain is host for Pilot Peace Al-Anon Family Group. Enter through side door facing West Marion Street.

• First Tuesday of each month, 7:30 a.m., The Pilot Center, The Pilot Mountain Area Business Association meeting. All businesses, including retailers, service providers, non-profits and other organizations, are invited to attend this free business and networking meeting.

• Every Tuesday, 10 a.m., story time for ages birth to 5-years-old will be held for free at the Charles H. Stone Memorial Library

• Every Tuesday, noon to 1 p.m., Yoga class for seniors to be held at the Armfield Civic Center, instructor Blanche Waddell. No cost.

• Every Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Bible study at Pilotview United Methodist Church, 659 Pilot Church Road, Pinnacle, led by the Rev. Jack Lutz.

• Every Wednesday from 10:30 a.m., Tai Chi will be offered at the Living Room, 215A Main St., Pilot Mountain. Everyone is welcome. No charge for class, but donations are greatly appreciated. For more information, call Shirley Key at 368-2012, ext. 203.

• Third Thursday of each month, 7 p.m., various locations. The Winston-Salem Ski & Outing Club is a year-round skiing, outdoor activities and social club for singles, couples and families of all ages in the Winston-Salem area. Check wssoc.org for meeting location and membership information.

• Fourth Thursday of each month, 1 to 3 p.m., Mountain Valley Hospice, 129 Veterans Drive, Pilot Mountain. Prayer Shawl Ministry: knit/crochet prayer shawls and throws for hospice patients. Drop off donated yarn at the office 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

• First Friday of each month, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Good Times BBQ Cafe, 425 E. 52 Bypass, Pilot Mountain. The Hardtimes Bluegrass Band will be performing free of charge, no obligations.

• Every Sunday, 11 a.m. and 6 p.m., Nondenominational Family Worship Center, 962 Albion Church Road, Westfield, casual but neat attire, worship service, Bible study, Wednesday at 7 p.m. For more information and directions, call 368-9646.

• The Educational Opportunity Center can help people find a GED center nearby, sign up for GED orientation, fill out applications for college, financial aid and/or scholarships, choose a college that is right, choose a program of study, choose a career. Call and schedule an appointment to discuss needs with Coordinator for Surry and Yadkin County Pete Farmer at 648-0652 or 386-3668. These services are free.

• Mountain Valley Hospice & Palliative Care, is in need of patient/family and administrative volunteers. For more information, contact Linda Wall at 368-1260 or visit the Hospice office at 129 Veterans Drive, Pilot Mountain.
