Last month’s evening of food, fun and games was such a success, the Westfield Ruritan Club has decided to do it again.

On Saturday evening, the club will host a hot dog dinner and bingo night at the Westfield Community Building, located at 6631 Westfield Road across from the Westfield Post Office on NC Highway 89.

“We weren’t sure what to expect when we tried this last time,” Westfield Ruritan President Greg Jessup said. “But it turned out to be a big success at a time we really needed it. We were shocked and pleased by the crowd that came out.”

“We’re still in need of funds to continue doing what we need to do and to help where it’s needed in our community,” he continued. ”We want to be able to continue our community projects and to help out those with need in our community. So we decided to do another one and we hope to continue to have them on a regular basis.”

The hot dog meal will begin at 6 p.m. to be followed by games of Cash Bingo beginning at 7. Tickets for participation in 20 games of play will be $20 and will include four door prize tickets. “Cover-all” games will also be played with 2 cards available for $5. Game prizes will be determined by the number of tickets sold.

In addition to funding, Jessup noted the club is also in need of new members who are willing to help out in their community. The club will be holding its next meeting at the Westfield Community Building on April 27, beginning at 6:30. Anyone interested in learning more about the club or its activities will be welcomed.
