Child pornography arrest made


PINNACLE — On June 30, the Stokes County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division obtained a search warrant to search the residence at 1975 Bud Tilley Road in Pinnacle. The search warrant was executed by the officers on July 1 around 7 a.m.

This search was the results of a two-month long undercover investigation into child pornography. Upon executing the search warrant, officers located child pornography on a computer inside the home and arrested and charged Christopher Calvert Lynch, 39, on 10 counts of third-degree sex exploit of a minor. The suspect is under a $50,000 secured bond.

This investigation was a joint effort with the Internet Crime Against Children Task Force, which the Stokes County Sheriff’s Office has a detective assigned to this task force. Agents with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation and Home Land Security Assisted in the investigation.

Sheriff Mike Marshall said, “We are going to take a stand against these internet predators and not allow to them to be active in this county. I want to thank the officers that assisted in this investigation for their efforts in combatting these types of crimes.”
