Copeland Elementary School recently continued its five-year tradition of electing a student council.

In the elections, only fifth graders are eligible to hold office, with students in grades three through five vote for class representatives and officers

Those winning seats were Jace Hazelwood chosen as president, Pilar Cortez as vice president, and Andrew Fulk as secretary-treasure. Student council takes on service projects such as canned food drives and collection of change to help Salvation Army Angels during the holiday season.
