Albion Missionary Baptist Church will be having its Vacation Bible School June 24, July 1 and July 8 from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. each day.

Westfield Baptist Church Vacation Bible School will be held July 9 through 13 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. each day, for all children entering Pre-K through fifth grade.

Travis Gammons, the former North Surry teacher and coach, is the new athletic director at West Stokes High School.

There will be a Brims Grove Youth fundraiser on Saturday, June 16, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at Brims Grove Baptist Church. The cost is $10 a plate and includes BBQ,baked beans, slaw, roll and dessert. All proceeds help the church teenagers go to camp this summer.

Rock House Ruritan recognized the North Stokes High School seniors from Nancy Reynolds with a Bible. The seniors that received a Bible are: Vada Steven, Alexis Haynes, Nathan Rose, Ethan Bullins, Isaac Williams, Chevy Phillips, and Christopher May-Sepulveda.

The Not Brothers Band will be playing at the Living Room Coffeehouse & Wine Bar in Pilot Mountain Friday, July 6, from 7 to 10 p.m. Cover charge is $5. This is a rare public appearance; plan to go.

There will be a Rust and Dust Show at Horne Creek Farm on Saturday, June 23, at 10 a.m.

Brown Mountain Baptist Church is hosting a blood drive June 29 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Plan to give.
