The children, Fruit of the Spirit Ministry, of Unleashed Worship Center in Pilot Mountain, were honored in the morning worship on Sunday. They were asked to join the adults for the main service.

Pastor Keith Williams read passages from the Scripture about children and the importance of their role in our lives. He then led the children and congregation in the songs, “This Joy of the Lord,” “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands,” and “This Little Light of Mine.” The children sang several “original” verses of the songs, it was a lot of fun.

Lorane Hawk read a poem of instruction to the children about honoring God in all they do and ask for a response of “I will.” She then gave each child a bookmark with the poem on it, as well as, other neat trinkets.

The group was given an opportunity to share the memory verses they had learned over the past month. Pastor Williams also gave each parent a chance to share whatever was on their heart about their children.

For the closing, the entire congregation gathered around the children and prayed God’s blessings over them. It was a very sweet and moving service.
