Local students awarded degrees during Gardner-Webb’s spring graduation

BOILING SPRINGS — Gardner-Webb University recently held its 2010 spring commencement exercises where a total of 484 students graduated. Graduates from the local region included the following:

Brandon Carter of Elkin, Summa Cum Laude; Thomas Angel of Mount Airy; Joshua Armstrong of Mount Airy; Sue Braden of Mount Airy; Gregory Carter of Mount Airy; Brandy Hodges of Mount Airy; Jason Rakes of Mount Airy, Magna Cum Laude; Andrew Utt of Mount Airy, Summa Cum Laude; Jordan Williams of Mount Airy, Summa Cum Laude.

Located in Boiling Springs, Gardner-Webb University is home to over 4,000 students from 39 states and 24 foreign countries. Gardner-Webb seeks a higher ground in higher education — one that embraces faith and intellectual freedom, balances conviction with compassion, and inspires in students a love of learning, service and leadership.
