“Death by Chocolate” is a murder mystery written by the same play- wright who wrote the successful dinner theatre, Murder at McMillion’s, which was presented by the North Stokes High School Performing Arts Department this past fall. It was received with high praise and tons of laughter. Justin Hall, the playwright, will introduce characters in “Death by Chocolate” who those attending may recognize. These characters all come together to film a show about their decadent dessert dishes. The audience will participate in this production as if they were the ”studio audience” at the filming. However, the audience won’t necessarily expect what’s coming after the yummy desserts. “Death by Chocolate” promises to live up to its name.
Students from the North and South Stokes Performing Arts Department will be the actors along with the directorial help of Justin Bulla, director of the Performing Arts Department at North and South Stokes high schools.
Tickets to the 2010 Winter Dessert Theatre Series are $14 per person per performance, and $12 for SCAC members, students and seniors 55 years and older. Ticket prices include dessert and performance.
