Some had church on Sunday but others could not due to the weather. Shoals Baptist was canceled and their Christmas program, too.
I sure wish you, one and all, a Merry Christmas! We all need to celebrate the true meaning of this day. It’s the best gift anyone could ever have, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. If you haven’t already, I pray you will accept Him into your heart before it’s too late. Without Him, life is just not worth living.
We’ve got a lot of sick people in our community lately. Erastus Spainhower had to spend a few days in the hospital. He is now home and doing well at this time. Barbara also needs everyone’s prayers as she is having breathing problems, along with other health problems.
Tom Allen is a patient, and has been for a few days, at Baptist hospital due to heart fluid and breathing problems.
Sue Scott Marion has been a patient in Forsyth Medical due to a bad fall before the snow. She hurt her head badly.
Doug Spurrier has been a patient in Forsyth Medical due to some heart problems.
Lois Simmons is a patient at Forsyth due to a stroke she was in ICU. At this time, we don’t know but hopefully she is some better.
Cousin Elaine Furrer is in the hospital due to heart failure in the state of Washington. Please remember all these along with all our other sick, elderly and shut-ins. A few of them are Ozell and Mary Ann Scott, Dorothy Brim, Josh Marion, Wendell Sechrist, Colleen Wall and David, Sammy Cromer, Mike Manning and others we may not know of. Mike has great neighbors who have made sure he’s had food and checked on him during the bad weather by phone, etc. He’s a tough fellow!
Remember all our men and women in the Armed Services, all those in the nursing homes, all our government leaders and especially all the sin-sick.
Also, remember Nooie Epperson and Jeff Thomas. They both have cancer and the doctors have told Jeff he has from two weeks to two months left. We do have the encouragement that he is a Christian. At the time of this writing, he is a very sick man.
