DANBURY — September 12 and 13 will be the 35th Stokes Stomp Festival on the Dan, Stokes County’s oldest and largest arts and music celebration.

The 35th Stomp will feature great musical entertainment, variety of food vendors, art/craft demondatrations, farm grown produce, the Dan River Duck Race, and guided trip down the Dan River with Steve Shelton. Everything that a community celebration should be, and all on the banks of the beautiful Dan River at Moratock Park in Danbury.

Volunteers are needed. Anyone wishing to volunteer at this community event should contact the Stokes County Arts Council for more information.

Additionally, the Stokes County Arts Council will be accepting donations of canned food for the East Stokes Outreach Ministry and the King Outreach Ministry at the Stokes Stomp this year. Stop by the Stokes County Arts Council booth to drop off donations of these food items for a good cause.
