“Pancake Breakfast with the Easter Bunny” will take place from 8 to 11 a.m. in the center’s Senior Room. Youths and parents are invited to enjoy a morning meal of pancakes, sausages, juice and milk, all on a donations-only basis.
Tracey Jessup of Tracey’s Photography will also be on hand throughout the morning to offer Easter photograph packages, with payment due at the breakfast. Pictures will be available for pick-up on April 9 at the Armfield center.
Those attending are invited to take part in the meal or have photos made, or both.
“We’re doing this more as a community service,” said club President Shannon Lane. “We want to give parents the chance to bring their children out for breakfast and to have their pictures taken with the Easter Bunny.
“We hope the donations will give us a chance to cover our expenses,” she added, “and any profits will be put back into the community through our other programs.”
This marks the fourth year the group has hosted the event, but will be its first time at the Armfield center.
“As someone with small children,” Lane noted, “I don’t like to go to the mall for photos. This is more convenient, and it’s a much more laid back atmosphere. And this will give people a chance to see all that the center offers.”
