To qualify for the President’s List, a student must be enrolled for a minimum of 12 hours of academic credit, attain a 3.75 grade-point average and have no final grade lower than a “C.” Students on the President’s List also qualify for the Dean’s List.

Surry Community College was founded in 1964 and is in Dobson. As one of the state’s 58 community colleges, it services Surry and Yadkin counties. Currently, Surry offers 27 degree programs, 16 diploma programs and 21 certificate programs; with hundreds of continuing education courses and seminars. The college, under the direction of President, Dr. Deborah Friedman has a mission to promote personal growth and community development through excellence in teaching, learning, and service.
