Pilot Mountain Elementary School recently celebrated Principal Appreciation Month recently.
“Students and staff joined together to thank Principal Alison York for all she does,” the school said.
The students did something different on various days during one week.
On Monday, fourth graders delivered breakfast. Fifth grade students decorated her office door on Monday afternoon. Third grade students created a giant card to present on Wednesday, while special area teachers bought lunch for her. Kindergarten showered the principal with flowers on Thursday. Friday, first grade gave a wreath, and the front office staff gave a special gift which included all of her favorite snacks.
When asked to speak for the student body, Student Council President Merry Parker Boaz said, “Mrs. York is nice, funny, smart, and a great principal.”
