Runners come out early for Heart & Sole 5K
PILOT MOUNTAIN — Runners came out in large numbers Saturday morning in order to get some exercise for a good cause. The event was the fourth annual Pilot Mountain Woman’s Club (PMWC) Heart and Sole 5K. Some 104 runners and walkers lined up at Cox-Needham Funeral Home for the 8:30 a.m. start. Summer sampler sports camp, indoor soccer being offered
PILOT MOUNTAIN — The staff at Armfield Civic Center is gearing up for two sports-related events this summer. The center will host an indoor soccer league this year, as well as a summer sampler sports camp. The sports camp will run June 3 through June 28 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for children ages 5 to 8.
