WESTFIELD — Don and Mary Romine invited a group of their friends to go to the Wohfahrt Haus Dinner Theatre to hear Peace in the Valley. The music was awesome. It was a gospel singing.

Billy King and his friends, Helen and Scotty, went. Peggy and Scotty Lawson, Linda Needham, Doris Sams, Dale Sisk and his family were there along with Jack and I.

Stoney Ridge Baptist Church will be hosting a Spring Revival beginning at seven p.m. on Sunday, April 24. Revival services will continue that Monday through Wednesday at six p.m. Our guest evangelist will be Pastor Alan Cox and special music will be featured each evening. Join us for this fervent call for personal and national revival!

The Rock House Ruritans are selling $50 tickets on a $4,000 money giveaway on May 7th. The meal starts at 5:30 and the drawing at 7 p.m. You do not have to be present to win. A 90th birthday party for Jacqueline Sams will be Saturday, April 23 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Brims Grove Church fellowship hall. The family would like for you to drop by for the celebration. Bring a memory, a picture or a funny tale or two. No gifts please. I have a true tale! Jack Nunn made a box out of plywood in the shape of a sheet cake and had Jacq Sams to decorate that box for my birthday cake one year. Jacqueline Sams baked our wedding cake. It was carrot cake with cream cheese frosting!

Brown Mountain Produce Country Store will be opening soon under same management.

Calling all Vendors to come and support the Francisco Presbyterian Women by “renting” a tent to sell your product. Each tent is $10. The event will be held on May 14 from 7 am to 11 am. What a great way to promote your business/product and support our Women’s ministry. Anyone interested in renting a tent should contact Kim Holland at 336-406-1559.

We will also be serving breakfast that morning too. The cost will be donation only. Please come out for some good food, fellowship and to check out what the vendors have to offer!
