WESTFIELD — Easter Sunrise Service at Albion Baptist Church, March 27 at 7 a.m. Breakfast after the service. Sunday School will start at 9 a.m. and Worship Service will be at 10 a.m.

Westfield Baptist Church will host a Children’s Easter Egg Hunt March 26 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Their Sunrise Service and breakfast will be held March 27 at 7 a.m.

Tru-Way Baptist Church will have Sunrise Service at 7 a.m. in the grave yard on Pell Road. After the service the members will serve Breakfast at the Tru-Way fellowship building on Pell RD.

Brims Grove Baptist Church and other local churches are meeting on Pilot Knob (Pilot Mountain State Park) for the Sunrise Service.

Brown Mountain Baptist Church Easter Egg Hunt will be on March 20. They will have a hot dog luncheon that day after the service and then the egg hunt. Everyone is invited. On March 24th at 6:30 p.m. Brown Mountain Baptist will be having a Maundy Thursday and Foot Washing Service. It is a beautiful service. The Sunrise Service at Brown Mountain Baptist will be March 27th at 7am with breakfast to follow in the fellowship hall.

The Dean Barley’s Benefit went wonderfully. It was such a blessing for all the churches and community to come together.

Westfield Friends Meeting Sunrise Service will be at 7 a.m. March 27. If you would like to stay and socialize after the service, bring an already cooked breakfast food to share and meet in the fellowship hall.

A fundraiser will be April 9th from 11:30-2:30. Mark your calendars. Brown Mountain Baptist Church will be having a Chili Cook Off to benefit Stephen Fagg and his family. Flyers are being printed. There should be more information soon. Stephen is Sylvia Fagg’s son and he has been very sick for a long long time.

Rock House Ruritan Club Vendors Sale is March 19 from 8 a.m. till 1 p.m. 17 vendors will be there! Go and shop the local people.

Sympathy goes to Rebecca, Gary Joe and Chris. Mrs. Pattie Hart Simmons, age 94 of Westfield, died Friday, March 11, 2016 at Village Care of King. She was born May 27, 1921 in Stokes County to the late William Saunders Hart & Mattie Simmons Hart. Mrs. Simmons retired from RJ Reynolds and was a member of Big Creek Primitive Baptist Church.

Sympathy goes to Barbara and Roger Cave. So sorry for the loss of Barbara’s Mother. Anna Christine Lowder Thompson, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday March 10, 2016. She was a lifelong resident of Anson County, graduating from the first 12th grade class of Lilesville High School.
