The weekend of March 11, Jerry and Lisa Chilton along with nephew Levi Jessup attended the production of “Coriolanus – A Shakespeare” tragedy written between 1605 and 1608. The play was at the BlackFriars Theatre in Staunton, Virginia. The threesome had a delicious dinner prior to the performance at the Mill Street Grill. Sunday morning was spent shopping for antiques is Staunton before the ride home. A great time had by all!

Tammy H. Merritt would like to wish her mama Virginia Hill a happy 94th birthday.

This past Saturday, March 18 was my precious little Mama’s 94th birthday. I love her more than words and am so very blessed to be able to call her my Mama and best friend. I cannot imagine life without this Godly gift in it. Thank you Lord for giving me the best when you gave me life.

Wayne and LaWanda Jessup celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on March 17, St Patrick’s Day. St. Patrick’s Day is an enchanted time. A time of magic for Wayne and LaWanda! Their love story is true! A beautiful cake was served to family and to the happy couple. In attendance was Lisa Chilton, Janice Lawson, Travis Joyce, Elizabeth Joyce and Frances Reeves.

An Easter Egg Hunt is planned at Brown Mountain Church March 25 from 10 a.m. till 1 p.m.. Join the fun for a morning of egg dying, egg hunting, crafts and story time. Lunch will be served. For more information you may contact Jennifer Wright at 336-703-7913.

The Nancy Reynolds School Reunion will be Saturday, April 1 at Mountain View Restaurant in Pilot Mountain from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This reunion is for all Nancy Reynolds Alumnus. Classmates will meet in the restaurants basement to get caught up on all the latest news. Please let Martha Brown know that you can come. She needs a head count. Call Martha at 336-994-2322.

Rock House Ruritan Club is still having Turkey Shoot until the last of March. March 25 will be the last turkey shoot this spring. The Ruritan Club would like to thank all the shooter for making the turkey shoots a success. The proceeds will help the needy and the bereaved in the community.

Nancy Speaks, Marshall Gordy and Tommy Tilley had very special Birthdays this week. Hallie Hall says Happy Birthday y’all!

Rock House Ruritan Club will be having the Vendor Sale on April 8 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Families in Need Cruise-in and BBQ Saturday, April 29 from 11 a.m. till 5 p.m. in Westfield.

The Westfield Ruritan Club will have hot dogs and cash bingo games on April 8. Y’all come on over and eat at 6pm. The Cash Bingo Games start at 7pm and go till 9pm. There will be door prizes! This is at the Westfield Community Building across from the Westfield Post Office on Highway 89 – 6631 Westfield Road.

Choral Easter Cantata at Westfield Baptist Church April 9th at 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Westfield Baptist Church will have Sunrise Service and breakfast Sunday, April 16 at 7 a.m.
